Long-Lasting Lip Enhancement              Lip Fillers

Enhancing your lips is one of the most effective ways to boost your self esteem and open doors of opportunity in professional and personal relationships. We can enhance your lips without making them look bigger, or we can give your lips more volume, as you desire. We can also help reverse a downward smile, add volume to thinning lips, slightly lengthen the mouth, and smooth out vertical lines that extend from the lip border (smoker’s lines) or that extend downward from the corners of the mouth (marionette lines) – all non-surgically.

At Rejuvena, we utilize two types of procedures for helping you achieve lips that you have dreamed about, naturally. Both are minimally invasive, with very little downtime.

Long-Lasting Lip Enhancement

One of the greatest challenges in cosmetic medicine has been to find an exceptional solution for long-lasting lip augmentation. Lip implants can have a dramatic impact on an individual’s appearance. However, past permanent lip implants either had an unnatural feel or were not easily extracted if an individual was not happy with the results. The same is true of silicone injections, which are permanent and unpredictable.

The Surgisil lip enhancement is made of a soft, flexible silicone material which is smooth to the touch and kiss. But unlike other permanent lip implants and silicone, the Surgisil lip enhancement is easily removable by the physician because it is a not porous and not an injectable solution.

With Surgisil, you choose the size of the enhancement. If you desire subtle lip definition, you may choose a smaller enhancement. If you wish a more seductive, voluptuous look, you may choose a larger one. They can be replaced with a smaller or larger alternative - or may be removed entirely at anytime - if you so desire.

With fillers, you may occasionally experience a lump or bump, and filler injections must be repeated every 6 – 12 months. Also, with each filler procedure you may have a few days of swelling or bruising, and the results of each injection may be slightly different from the prior procedure. The Surgicil solution, however, is a one-time procedure and provides smooth, predictable results, with little downtime.

Surgisil was approved by the FDA in 2007 for cosmetic facial use by physicians. It is an excellent, cost-effective alternative that will boost your self esteem and leave your loved one dreaming about the next kiss.

Lip Fillers

In addition to the Surgisil long-term lip enhancement solution, advanced dermal fillers such as JUVEDERM® and Restylane may be used to help achieve a more alluring look in a short period of time. To create a more pronounced mouth and fuller lips, JUVEDERM® or Restylane is injected into the inside of the upper and/or lower lip. This is often combined with enhancement of the contour of the lip by injecting the gel along the lip border (the vermilion border).

Redefining this edge leads to a more appealing look. It also prevents lipstick "bleeding" into the small lines around the lips.

To further enhance the effect, the lines that go up towards the nose (philtrum ridges) can be defined by injecting the dermal filler into them, as well. To achieve the optimal result, a combination of these steps is often used.

Physician experience is important in helping you achieve a natural, balanced look. Always choose a doctor who has performed many lip enhancement procedures. It is important that the doctor not only listens to what you hope to achieve, but has an artful eye as well.

Joan M. Hardt, M.D. combines science and art to help optimize your lips for a natural, healthy look. Her years of experience and hundreds of lip enhancement procedures contribute to her artistic technique and your beautiful smile.

In addition to lip augmentation, we can help with wrinkles and lines around the mouth, as well as helping you lift the corners of the mouth for a more friendly look. For more information about correcting lines and wrinkles around the mouth, please visit our Mouth Area Wrinkle Correction page.
