Photorejuvenation

Over time, the aging process and the effects of the sun and pollutants such as tobacco wreak havoc on our skin. Furthermore, a highly competitive society places a premium on a youthful look.

A wide variety of medical lasers and light systems are available to rejuvenate the skin. However, like a fingerprint, your skin is unique. Your skin won't respond well--and can even be damaged--with the wrong laser. You don’t have to risk damage to your skin by use of the improper system, or become an expert yourself to choose the system that is most suited to your skin type. Now, any patient who wishes to effectively remove unwanted aging effects and rejuvenate their skin can visit one doctor at one medical center to benefit from a wide array of advanced equipment, as well as the experience and knowledge to go with it. At Rejuvena Cosmetic Medical Center, we fit the technology to you, not you to the technology.

Depending on your skin coloration and treatment needs, we use one of several advanced systems, Elos SR, Elos SRA, Medlite 1064 Nd:YAG, Cutera Genesis, or Fraxel SR1500 for optimal treatment of skin conditions. (Additional systems are used to tighten and lift the skin, and are discussed in detail elsewhere on this website.) Dr. Hardt or one her experienced staff members can design a comprehensive treatment program to address your current condition, as well as a plan for maintenance of overall skin health.

FotoFacial was introduced in the 90’s. It was the first non-ablative laser or intense pulsed light (IPL) system for photorejuvenation. Many advances have been made to this system over the years. Now, the technology is referred to elōs, which stands for (electro-optical synergy). It combines bipolar radiofrequency and light energies to treat superficial and benign vascular and pigmented lesions like rosacea, poikoliderma, melasma, age spots, sun spots and more. It also reduces fine lines and improves the skin’s textural irregularities, giving a smoother, softer complexion.

Cutera Genesis utilizes a different type of energy—laser energy with long-pulse Nd:YAG 1064 wavelength. This system is designed to eliminate diffuse redness without downtime.

The Medlite 1064 Q-switched Yag laser uses photo-acoustics to generate collagen production and eliminate different types of brown pigment.

At Rejuvena, we do not charge for consultations. To schedule your free consultation, please email or call us at (405)842-1100.
